The research question that guided this study was: What is the relationship between the process of disseminating information on human resources and the financial performance of the companies? The research was conducted with the companies in the IBrX-100. All reports that supported this study relate only to the year 2013. The process of disseminating information on human resources was analyzed using the method by Mamun (2009). The statistical technique of multiple regression was used to assist in the interpretation of data, based on a cross-sectional view. The variables chosen for this study were Profitability (REN); Turnover (VV) and Earnings Before Interest, Taxes, Depreciation and Amortization (EBITDA). The companies analyzed presented a low disclosure rate of information on human resources. In view of the variables surveyed for this study, however, it can be concluded that there is a relationship between the process of disseminating information on human resources and the financial performance of companies when represented by Turnover and EBITDA - given that the profitability demonstrated no significant relationship in this analysis. Overall, the findings confirm other previous studies on the subject.References
